Bob Riley was born in 1933 in Pennsylvania. His family moved to Augusta Maine where he grew up and excelled in music. His father Henry Riley was a Vaudevillian performing as a singer and pianist and Bob first performed professionally with his father onstage at the age of 14. They had a father-son act and Bob played the banjo. He is a Korean War Veteran where he was in Special Services and worked entertaining with his band during his tour of duty. He was signed to many major labels, Dot, and MGM as well as others. He has literally hundereds of recordings to his credit, several live radio shows which he hosted and also sang and played guitar, and 2 television shows broadcast in the New England area. His career spanned decades of music styles, and he was known for the unique ability to sing all types of music. He performed for 60 straight years until illness forced him to stop entertaining back in 2008. He now resides in New Hamphsire with his wife of 55 years Violet.
