Artist
Bob Patin has been playing jazz piano since his early teens. His music has been influenced by a wide variety of pianists, including Bill Evans, Keith Jarrett, Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock, George Shearing, Oscar Peterson, Leon Russell, Dr. John, Professor Longhair, just to name a few. In his spare time he listens to everything from jazz to rock to orchestral music. Bob's songwriting is an eclectic mix of many influences; although every song has an improvisational nature to it at some point, the style is hard to define. A new series of CDs are in the works, the first of which was released on November 29, 2007. "Remembering the Beatles" features 10 great Beatles tunes done a little differently. The CD can be ordered from this website; you can also listen to samples from the CD on this site as well. The Minnesota Morning CDs are recorded for Tyrol Hills Music and showcase another part of Bob's musical palette. Produced by Bob, the CDs are intended to put you in a good mood when you listen to them, and make drive time a lot more enjoyable. The 9th CD in the series, "Amazing Grace," will be released soon, and features Bob on solo piano.
