Blut + Eisen is a 80s hardcore punk band from Hanover, Germany. Initially, the band's name was Overkill, but soon changed to B+E. The term "Blut und Eisen" ("blood and iron") is a reference to a speech made by Otto v. Bismarck (compare https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blood_and_Iron_(speech) ): "We do not represent this ideology, but the call for B.& E. has always prevailed in every nation, as can be seen again and again."
