When a blues and old-style R&B singer/slide guitarist from Chicago met a Chicago-style blues guitarist and singer from Los Angeles, Southern Oregon became host to a style of music that has become a new, 21st century, voice of the blues. Since the release in 2005 of their debut self-titled debut, Bluesdusters have received radio airplay and glowing reviews from all over the world. The core of the Bluedusters is Lead Guitarist/Singer/Songwriter Leonard "Grif" Griffie, and Slide and Rhythm Guitarist/Singer/Songwriter John O. Nelson. The current lineup includes Keith Harrison on Drums, Dave Clayton (or John Trujillo) on Bass, and Michael Vannice and Keyboards and Saxophone. Influences: Original Blues written and performed with deep reverence to the classic Blues and R&B sounds of the 1950’s and 60’s.
