About Blue Birds & Bright Lights (taken from their Myspace page) Theres house on a hill, with a porch light blazing. No neighbors, no neighborhood. A wire climbs up the hill, carried by logs that have been carried down rivers from the Colorado to the mouth of the Mississippi. The wire brought everything electric to the house on the hill. Life was pumped into the walls, giving breath to the televisions and the turntables. Every morning, when the porch light was no longer needed, a bluebird found its way to the wire. He stayed here and presided over the house on the hill. It was often asked why the bluebird came and stayed every day after day. He knew he was needed here. Every evening, when the sun went home, the bluebird followed. The responsibility was left on the blazing, bright porch light. The porch light, too, knew what was expected. The house on the hill was always safe, day and night, from anyone who was unwelcome, thanks to the efforts of the Bluebirds and Bright Lights.
