Jefferey Lamar Harris Jr. (July 14, 2002 – June 8, 2024), most notably known by rap names “Bloodhound Lil Jeff” and “Bloodyhound Lil Jeff,” was a American drill rapper from Chicago, Illinois. He rose in popularity in the Chicago drill scene after he claimed responsibility for two murders in his lyrics. Lil Jeff began his music career with his first song “Bloody Family” in 2022 and “I Love My Draco”, featuring frequent collaborator Rell Vert. He then went on to release more music in the following years, steadily increasing his popularity. On February 16, 2024, Jeff released the song “Ahhh”, which blew up due to its self-incriminating lyrics, making Jeff one of the most popular drill rappers in Chicago. Many credited him and other rappers with reviving the Chicago drill scene. During the summer of 2024, Lil Jeff released more music and songs like “Should’ve Saw It” and “L.A.X”. Outside of his music career, Lil Jeff was a very close friend to rapper Lil Scoom89. Together, they released songs such as, “Running With Gravediggers”, “Exotics”, and “LongLiveJeffreyDahmer”, a tribute to Lil Jeff, which featured vocals from now deceased Philadelphia artist, Ybcdul. On June 8, 2024, Lil Jeff was shot and killed in Chicago, Illinois. On June 26, 2024, his management posthumously released his album “Stepping In Blood,”, which included a remix to his song “Ahhh”. by fellow Chicago rapper G Herbo.
