Blood Union is a five piece Death Metal band originating in Carrum Downs. Since their formation in 2007, there have been a few departures and arrivals, with Blood Union now consisting of Lead Guitarist Nathan Male, Rhythm Guitarist Gavin Fox, Drummer Jarod Goldman and Bassist Aaron Charters. Blood Union has been trialling the talents of a number of different vocalists, and is currently working with Untruth Vocalist Ben Roberts. There are a number of bands which influence and inspire Blood Union, including Cannibal Corpse, Whitechapel and Job for a Cowboy. Since 2008, Blood Union have completed to recordings. The first recording was of two tracks named “Condemned” and “Thine Eyes Bleed”. In late 2009, Blood Union recorded their first demo, containing five new songs, and also rerecordings of the tracks “Condemned” and “Thine Eyes Bleed”. The 2009 demo has since been distributed to fans, prospective performance venues, students and members of the local and musical community. Feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, particularly in relation to stage presence, originality and musicality. Blood Union’s following has been strengthened and has had their fan-base increased, receiving frequent airplay on student radio station 90.7 Syn FM.
