Artist
With their mix of indie, pop and alternative rock music, this three-piece musical constellation from Bulacan is a testimony that talent is not concentrated in the metro. Composed of Julie Samonte (guitar and vocals), Gershon Vivas (bass) and Dave Cruz (drums), Blind Stereo Moon is slowly establishing itself as one of the young and formidable voices behind indie music in the province. They got together in high school and started playing in several campus events. Since then, they have maintained their presence in the gig circuit, bringing homegrown music to audiences in Bulacan and Manila. Their debut album, a product of four years of songs and countless band names, is set to come out early next year. The band has written songs ranging from easy-listening to melodramatic, from trivial to existential, from happy-trippy to downright poignant. With influences like The Cardigans, The John Mayer Trio, Jason Mraz, and Hillsong United, Blind Stereo Moon has developed their own sound that is sure to cater to varying musical tastes. Armed with passion, and a movement of indie artists to back them up, this band is ready to shoot for the stars and take over your musical universe.
