As the four mates from a Munich high school sat together and planned their collective future as pop stars, one important detail remained unresolved. A really catchy, quirky, and perhaps slightly humorous band name, still hadn't been found. It should contain a tiny element of mystery too, they thought, to get their potential fans racking their brains: “Blind Freddy”, a band name was born! The young band with the classic line up of 2 Guitars, Bass and Drums has an average age of just 19, so its hard to believe that these newcomers can sound this adult, so professional and polished. The band sound, extremely hard to define in words, must simply be heard.Containing elements of Rock, Brit-Pop, Funk and Blues all interwoven into tasty original arrangements is garanteed to leave you asking for more and keep you moving way past the last number. Lead Singer-Guitarist Michael Spieler (18) convinces audiences from the first note with his 12 year singing experience and classical education. His slightly raw, but warm and sexy sounding voice reminds listeners of a cocktail mixed with John Lennon and Kurt Cobain. The driving force behind Michael is a rhythm section that puts the song grooves right in the pocket. Bassist, Philipp Schwend (21) and Drummer Timothy Lush(18) fullfill the task with passion and power.Lead Guitarrist Kerim Öke provides the rest, the riffs, melodies and harmonies. All four contribute equally to the song writing process, Lush and Spieler are lyricists for the band.
