Artist
Bleeding Heart's Melody is Tim Bouchard, from Buffalo, NY. Tim is influenced musically by many acts such as Dashboard Confessional, Remember Maine, The Lindsay Diaries, and The Spill Canvas, but pulls a lot of his lyrical stylings from hardcore music and bands such as Thursday, Thrice, The Hope Conspiracy, and From Autumn To Ashes to name a few. The name Bleeding Heart's Melody came from the root of all emo inspired music, it's pretty self explainitory. Tim formerly was head of a local Western, NY band Curbside All-Stars which had great success on mp3.com before splitting into BHM and The Hudson. All of his bands were created out of the shadow of local music heroes The Down-to-Earth Approach now on Vagrant Records. With local influences like them it wasn't hard to stay focused on making good music and keeping the scene alive. The idea of Bleeding Heart's Melody was created when Tim got to college in the fall of 2001. He had just left Curbside All-Stars and was looking for a way to continue to make music and play. That fall Tim started playing around with an acoustic sound and upon the discovery of Dashboard Confessional finally figured out what he wanted to do. That winter he injured his left hand leaving him unable to play the guitar which made for a winter full of writing songs. What came of that winter was the debut EP "Diary of a Broken Man" released on MS Records in August 2002 a few weeks after Tim had picked up a guitar for the first time since the accident.
