Bleak Anthem is a new-school punk rock band from Long Beach California. They were prominent during the mid 90's to early 00's. They toured throughout southern California and released several demos, EPs, and one full-length LP. Their last accomplishment, Wake Up Pills, was recorded at Love Juice Labs in La Habra, CA in August of 2001 and released independently in November later that year. The band found a following worldwide mostly due to the internet. The core members consisted of Jason Alves, James Deaton, Steven Johnson and Derek Mayor.
