Notorious for their deluxe live show that includes a skull-headed fur-upholstered stand-up bass, rhinestone studded cowboy hats, crazy stage antics, sweat-drenched greasy do's, with huge crowd participation. Live antics aside, Blazing Haley's songs are what keeps the crowds coming back; fun lyrics about hot-rod culture, road trips, dive bars, and girls backed by a balls-out rhythm section and cool-injected guitars. Though there is a definite rootsy vibe to their music, they don't limit themselves to the retro-shackles of rockabilly revivalism, or the pretense of sub-genres such as psychobilly, like so many of their contemporaries. Instead, they combine these influences with other styles (garage, punk, metal, lounge, etc.) and create their own 'American rock n' roll hybrid' that has spanned various markets and demographics.
