This young band takes regard of no musical borders and preconceptions. They dare to mix everything they like and feels good in order to take the listeners to a trip in their own world. The freedom and beauty of a market on which you can find everything from a turkish electronics shop up to an african groceries store. The balkan background of Misho and Srdjan, together with Michael's scandinavian, mix in with their mutual language of Jazz and their love for toying with gadgets and electronic sounds to create an original propelling sound. The absence of a piano or any chord instrument gives them the space and freedom to make music that relies on melody, rhythm and interplay and gives enough space to incorporate electronic sounds and loops. Surprising audiences and competition juries BQ has won (just after it was formed) the Holland Casino Jazz&Pop Award and shortly after the Dutch Jazz Competition, playing at the North Sea Jazz Festival 2008 amongst great competition. BQ took part in the Young VIPs tour 2009, a 10 concert tour in some of the best dutch venues. It has also since performed at festivals such as Jazz-A-Palooza, Novi Sad Jazz Festival and the North Sea Jazz Festival 2009 where the band presented it's debut album titled Finding A Way - released in September 2009, distributed by Challenge Records Int. Exactly 2 years after it's formation in April 2008 the Blazin' Quartet is bringing a guest to it's performances, a balkan international Zlatko Baracskai. Zlatko is
