Born: France The French harpsichordist, Blandine Rannou, is the outcome of a training started with 3 first prizes (harpsichord, basso continuo, chamber music) at the Paris National Superior Conservatorium where she teaches currently basso continuo, with a training at the Sweelink Conservatory in Amsterdam with Bob van Asperen, and the prize in 1992 of the International Harpsichord Competition in Bruges; she was also awarded the RTB prize and the jury's special prize. Blandine Rannou's "revolutionary playing" (Philippe Ramin, Répertoire April 2001) reveals a new approach to the harpsichord and to the interpretation of Rameau's music. «...the one who link baroque music, and especially harpsichord, to rushed acid notes will be astonished when discovering her Rameau.
