Artist
Blak Lyons is an indie roots rock band from Buenos Aires, with a youthful blast of sound. The rock quartet has a strong 1970's blues vibe at it's core, hinting influences of country, garage and indie rock in their debut EP released in 2012. Compared to artists such as Kings of Leon, The Weeks and Kingston Springs, Blak Lyons acknowledge influences such as The Band, Little Feat, Led Zeppelin and The Beatles among other 60s/70's legendary bands. Formed in 2009 by cousins Ezequiel Gomez de Lima (lead guitar) and Diego Antonelli (bass) with childhood friends Tomas Giambruni (lead vocals & rhythm guitar) and Francisco Bianchi (drums), the group brings a mix of up tempo cuts that will make you dance and songs that build up to an intense ride. In October 2014, the band released their debut LP , titled "Bygones". The 11-track album brings maturity in the sound and in the content of their lyrics, ranging from the conservation of nature to the failures of human society and their interactions. The analog recording, reviving the best of the past, captures the real human feel of the band playing the songs live in the studio. “Blak Lyons is the proof that rock’s salvation is in Latin America. […] An Argentine group with the perfect soundtrack for your next road trip. Blues-inspired guitars, sharp sound and a country air that makes us believe that Rock music has found it’s salvation” Lifeboxset.com (MEX) “Shades of that good old rock music and some satisfyingly raucous guitar textures
