Artist
An up-and-coming artist from the suburbs of Chicago, Blade Barringer began to write songs in college and has since begun a continuing evolution of his own personal aesthetic, combining influences of The National, Shearwater, and Son Lux in his warm and inviting arrangements. His most recent project, The Dream of The Astronaut, is a collaboration with Josiah Harrist and draws inspiration from both Shearwater and Steve Slagg. The EP Beware These Fables, purported to have three songs currently (with two iTunes bonus tracks) is scheduled for release late fall of 2009. It has been rumored that the songs are direct adaptations of Hebrew myths. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
