BLACKSLUG (besides being a badass mollusk) is a quartet from Vitória-ES who commits a simple, heavy and straightforward rock. Songs emerging from casual endless jams, lyrics under multicolored and ethereal influences and a playing style worthy of Neanderthals are some of this entity ways of expression. With one of the greatest beards ever seen nearby, Leonardo Machado, guitaris and lead singert, screams out loud things that our families (Psst!) does not need to know. Paulo Emmerich seeks the secret of brutal psychedelia , complementing the guitars (after all, this is rock!). In the backyard, Andrey Junca “fuzzes” the reality with a slippery bass swing, adherent to Hugo Ali’s and its baseball bat sticks grooves, thus reaching the monolithic black clam. The first slug trail is the demo “Unsober,” which includes three tracks and was released as a split-EP “Stolen/Unsober” along with Broken & Burnt, in August 2013.
