Originally formed in 2012, BlackByrd consisted of Tarryn Lamb, Tamsyn Maker and Axene Chaberski, and later joined by Samantha Heldsinger. The group took their name from the classic Beatles track, BlackByrd. Since January 2012, BlackByrd created music along with promoter and music-industry veteran Mike Fuller as manager. Tamsyn Maker passed away in 2022. In 2024 BlackByrd reunites with new members, original member Tarryn Lamb, and new members Tasché Burger of The Voice fame, and Tasha (also known as Natasha Zaaiman).
