Fort Lauderdale, FL 2007 In early 2007 hip hop took on a new sound. The members of the group are A. Mouse, born Amos Pubien and S. Black born Sony Anilus. This sound consists of the blend of smooth flows and lyrics of rap duo Black&Mouse. As a duo they have proved to be both an Internet and live show phenomenon. . The two met in their home town Fort Lauderdale, FL where they were both born and raised. They both also attended the same church where they conjured ideas to create beats and write lyrics. They had the intention of making songs to sell to other artists, but realized that they were a force to be reckoned with. They expressed their common love of hip hop by putting a voice to their sounds. In 2007, although they didn’t release any official material other than what was posted on their Myspace site or MP3 blogs, the group started receiving a lot of media attention from Atlanta Georgians, who invited them to play at their summer festival. This event inspired the two to pursue their passion for music and is now one of Fort Lauderdale’s new artists. Black & Mouse is known for their new sound and collective music for this new generation of hip-hop.
