Black Spring Rising are a 3-piece all female rock band, namely Trish Black - vocals/guitar, Jan Black - bass/keyboards/backing vocals, Lisa Steadman - drums. The band saw many line up changes initially, but the same members have been together since summer 2010. Based in Southend-on-Sea in Essex, UK, the band's long awaited eponymously-titled first album was released in February 2011 on Indie label Cauldron Soundwerx, US. The album, produced by Dave 'Andromeda' Cherry, sees Black Spring Rising's own style of rock - which contains elements of classical and oriental styles into the equasion - infused with Cherry's dance-influenced production. Black Spring Rising's live shows can currently be seen in venues in and around Essex and London.
