From North of France, Black Smith Craft aka Tyler Smith discovered acid wave in the end of 80’s. Seduced by electronic music, he turns then to the German productions of the labels Eye-Q, Platipus or Superstition. Late 90’s, he’s starting DJing and appearing then in few parties near his home. Beginning 2000, it directs towards techno more underground influenced by English, German and especially American (Detroit) sounds. It takes part in some brodcasts of the “Tuesday session” then diffused on Campus FM (Villeneuve d' Ascq/France) and animated by Dimitri Pike (Mirage/Matrix/Subject Detroit). At the same time, it begins production and quickly creates his own Web page (Alphaground) which will enable him to make known its first sounds already dark and groovy. In 2004, it invests the waves of various radios as DJ: ElectrOne (France), Flash FM (Limoges/France), Raar FM (the Netherlands). Ad.lib (Pseudo records) entrusts to him a residence in its Eworld brodcasted on Planet FM (Arras/France). In 2006, he melts with Erell Ranson “Interstate 94” on the webradio Livesets. (Netherlands/www.livesets.com), dedicated to the sound of Detroit, will be quickly supplemented by B-side directed techno/industrial.. In 2006, from its collaboration with Bionic will be born a vinyl entitled Germanium (Audiocrash rec.).
