There are multiple artists with this name: 1) BLACK OLIVES formed in London in 2002 hitting it off headlining for the QUEENS GOLDEN JUBILEE on 2nd and 3rd of June 2002 at TIN PAN ALLEY JUBILEE STREET PARTY, supported by BBC Music Live. The band continued to expand their activity in the capital, being invited continuously to take part in Mathew Street Festivals 2002 & 2003 and other venues across the country. In October 2002 Black Olives set about recording their debut album HOW ABOUT in Kent, which featured 13 original songs. The album was released on 1st of August 2003 receiving an amazing feedback from fans and industry people. The most outstanding tracks are THOSE GONE DAYS, HOW ABOUT, A BETTER LIFE and ABOVE AND BENEATH. On the 21st of August 2003 BLACK OLIVES had a rare opportunity to perform and record live at Abbey Road Studios as part of the follow-up Matthew Street Festival to be held in Liverpool the same month. Their music can be defined as melodic alternative pop rock - a mixture of styles rolled into one. In April 2006 the band has recruited the new drummer, Darren Atkinson. In April of the same year this was followed by a BARFLY TOUR of England, opening for Fratellis at Barfly in Birmingham. In 2006 the band released 2 new singles CHALLENGE A PARKING TICKET and EVERYBODY FEELS THE SAME.
