Artist
Edmond Guillaume, former guitarist of Salt Lake City-based ska/rocksteady octet, Just Add Water, and former singer of Seattle hardcore foursome, Trysuicide, offers us several side-projects. Black Iron Prison among them, Edmond brings to light the noisier, more discordant and unlikeable aspects of his musical capabilities in order to shun the pop sensibilities of static culture. Armed with digitized blasts beats that go from 60 to 180 in less than a second and barre chords mired in the tradition of 1980's punk rock, Black Iron Prison cuts your ear open and funnels into them shards of the most shattered of glass. Based in the rain and mud of an Olympia, WA forest, BIP is reluctant to play shows, much less work on more music, as BIP is mainly concerned with working under the noms-de-guerre, Dreamriot, Edmontosaurus, Burning Books, and Selector Edmond Irie.
