Black Cat, White Cat is a 1998 Yugoslav film directed by Emir Kusturica. It won the Silver Lion for Best Direction at the Venice Film Festival. Dejan Sparavalo is a violin player born in 1966 in Sarajevo. Dejan was offered to enter the Sarajevo philarmonique orchestra but refused, prefering to continue playing in the bars. Since then, he actively participates to the composition of the albums of the No Smoking Orchestra, since the soundtrack of the film Black Cat White Cat.
