Black Alley is the name of more than one artist: 1) "soul garage" band from Washington DC 2) deep house, alias of Thomas Pudell 1) Black Alley plays what they call “soul garage”, a blend of funk, jazz, soul, and rock. Black Alley have released two independent releases. In 2012, the band released "Soul. Swagger. Rock. Sneakers". The 16-track compilation features original music from Black Alley in collaboration with Raheem DeVaughn, Nicholas Ryan Gant and Phil Ade. Their follow up album, "Black Alley: Live from the RNR Hotel" is the live recording project chronicling their performance at their album release event. Both albums are available on iTunes and http://blackalley.bandcamp.com The video for their single "Artist Prayer" ( "Soul.Swagger.Rock.Sneakers.") is in rotation on VH1 Soul and featured on MTV.com and the video for their single “Bad Girl” recently debuted exclusively on MTVHive.com. Black Alley has shared the stage with artists like Common, Erykah Badu, Hiatus Kaiyote, Estelle, Wale, Gin Blossoms, Marsha Ambrosius, Meek Mill, Drake, Raheem DeVaughn, Bilal, Tabi Bonney, Busta Rhymes, Scarface, and Chrisette Michele just to name a few.
