Anno 2020, a virus paralysed the system - everything stood still. But out of nowhere, a new band suddenly made its way into the spotlight: BLACK & DAMNED. But one after the other: Doomed to do nothing, MICHAEL VETTER (Guitars & Bass / Ex-PUMP) and ROLAND "Bobbes" SEIDEL (Vocals / Ex-IHRESGLEICHEN) decided to become active together during the bleak phase of the first worldwide lockdowns. Two "lost souls of the music industry" suddenly merged into a glowing unit. The mission: to break through the silence and lethargy, turn the anger about the standstill into creativity and create a series of first-class metal songs. Together, the duo wrote 12 epic power metal tracks in a very short space of time - unspent, multi-layered, with melodically strong riffs and vocal lines and merciless heaviness over long sections. Songs that not only make you sit up and take notice, but also stick in your brain. The idea of immortalising everything on a CD and presenting it to the public quickly followed. Drummer AXEL WINKLER (ex-IHRESGLEICHEN), AXEL MACKENROTT (MASTERPLAN / keyboards) and TOMMY LAASCH (CHINCHILLA / backing vocals) were hired for the studio work, while ACHIM KÖHLER (PRIMAL FEAR, SODOM, BRAINSTORM, a.o.) lent the songs an absolutely independent and modern sound. With ROCK OF ANGELS RECORDS, the ideal partner for the release was found after just a few weeks.
