Bix Medard. Influenced by the likes of Bjork, Coco Rosie, Portishead or even Serge Gainsbourg, Bix Medard is the living proof that 'la nouvelle chanson française' is the thing to keep a close watch on these days. Bix is a real allround artist who worked all over the place. Painting, Performance, Writing, Music, Bix worked in Kyoto, Japan; Paris, France and Brussels, Belgium amongst others. In 2007 she met Medard aka Peter Clasen, who was very busy with electronic projects such as Neven and Monsieur Smits. In 2008, Bix and Peter Clasen were asked to perform music during a fashion show by fashion designers Y-Dress. Bix Medard is born. October 2008, La ficelle is released as a single in a special version. The first selftitled album is released in februari 2009 on the Altaïr Musik label. April 2009, "Bix Medard" #36 in the RPM charts, published by CMJ, College Music Journal (USA). Since their debut, Bix Medard worked together with fashion designers Y-dress?. (Why dress?) During the special fashion shows, poetic electro defiles, the Bix Medard tunes appear in special remixed versions. November 2009; release of the remix album "Bix Medard - Y-dress?", this album is a logic result of the collaboration between Bix Medard and Y-dress?. The Bix Medard tunes appear in special remixed versions, made to fit the fashion shows by Y-dress? (pronounced Why dress?). The album premiered in Tokyo on november the 27th 2009.
