Artist
Biscuit Holic (ビスケットホリック) was an Osaka based synth-pop band formed by Akiyoshi Yoda and Sachiko Imao in March 1985. The group appeared mostly on Various Artist compilations between 1985 - 1990, but 2 flexi disc singles where produced during the bands lifetime. The singles where distributed free of charge, likely at live performances. Lyrical content included nature and the environment. In 1989 Biscuit Holic appeared on a split cassette with Minca Panopica, titled "POWER POP PARADISE", which was distributed at a joint performance of the same name at the Fandango venue in Juso, Osaka. The performance took place on the 23 December. Much of Biscuit Holic's discography is yet to surface online. The second flexi disc, "Magic Strawberry", as well as the entire contents of POWER POP PARADISE are currently not available online. Literally, their name means somebody who is addicted to biscuits. According to the zine included with the 大阪おなか図鑑 (Osaka Onaka Zukan) compilation album, Biscuit Holic is similar in meaning to the phrase "couch potato".
