Birth Screams is a four-piece experimental hardcore band based in northern New Jersey. Birth Screams was conceived in the summer of 2005 and is comprised of guitarist Jon Lindblom, guitarist and vocalist Eric Mauro, and bassist and vocalist Evan Moore, all original founding members. In 2007, Eric Schnee, also a member of Hayaino Daisuki, became a permanent member as drummer. In early 2006, the band recorded and released their self-titled, two song demo. They played dates constantly in northern New Jersey and gathered a local following. In March of 2007, guitarist Steve Gentile left the band. Alex Reilly, keyboardist for Red Light Green Light, filled in on guitar. Mike Taddeo, a friend of the members', also did a temporary stint with Birth Screams as guitarist during the summer of 2007. Earth Tones, Birth Screams' first full-length on label Underground Cities, was released in November 2007. This record features 10 original songs, three of which can also be found on their 2006 demo. Since then, Birth Screams has toured through the central midwest and east coast twice and played several weekend tours.
