bardt/bird=birdt www.birdt.nl Biography Birdt (est. 2008) is the songwriting efforts of Bardt van der Dennen, who after artschool starts making beautiful melancholic folk/singersong songs. Started playing with a 5 person band, played live with a trio for some years; currently playing solo again. Music to gaze by, melodies to dream away on or just simple; songs to drink a beer by. It all depends on the weather. Songs with a clear start&end, no nonsense. Birdt follows its own musical ambitions; Making records DIY style and playing at places where the music, in its most basic acoustic and storytelling form, still is appreciated. Independent to the bone; he released several vinyl records, followed by a couple of tours. The music of Birdt is often compared to Lou Barlow (Sebadoh), Bonnie Prince Billy and Blackheart Procession.
