Encompassing equal parts heart and cheek, Bionic Pixie is a ballsy and sharp, brass knuckles philosophy at the command of its creator and alter-ego, Aucklander Zoe Fleury. A solo-project in its infancy, broaching topics close to her heart - it's all about kicking ass, sincerity to yourself and dilemmas with boys. Bionic's sound consists of bass drums, frenetic arrangements and computer generated echo-ey bleeps as a backdrop for a curiously alien-like vocal style band and self-appointed drumming duties This is an innovative sound completely removed from the mundane aspects of reality.
