Artist
Binnie Hale (22 May 1899β10 January 1984) was an English actress and musician. Both her father, Robert Hale and brother, Sonnie Hale were actors. She married West End actor Jack Raine, with whom she had one daughter. Among films and stage productions, she appeared in No, No, Nanette in 1925 at the Palace Theatre, London. Her recording of the song "Spread A Little Happiness" from the 1928 musical Mr. Cinders is possibly her best remembered work, and the rock musician Sting took a cover version of the song to number 16 in the UK Singles Chart 54 years later for the movie Brimstone and Treacle.
