The band Bijele Strijele (The White Arrows) was formed in 1961. In the beginning they played covers of Cliff Richard and The Shadows, The Beatles and later on they made their own songs. They were one of the first bands in Yugoslavia who had their own songs, which made them very popular. 7" - Svi trce oko Sue (Runaround Sue)/The Wanderer/Rastanak (Sealed With a Kiss)/Strijele - was the first beat record released in Yugoslavia. They split in 1966 because they couldn't adapt to new changes in music which came together with long hair bands. The style of Bijele strijele was mix of beat with early rock'n'roll and twist. Their sound was raw with great teenage vocals. They had two guitar players and two singers, and of course bass and drums. And that made their sound a bit different from their English and American idols. All their releases (1962-1964) are all put together on one album: Izvorne Snimke. Released singles: Svi trče oko sue (Run around Sue), Rastanak (Sealed with Kiss), Strijele (Wanderer) EP Jugoton (1963.) Platno, boje, kist i twist, Ti si moje proljeće (sa vokalnom grupom 4M) , Jugoton (1963.) Divan krajolik (Wonderful land), Ne trči (Walk, don't run), Jugoton (1963.) Prilika za ljubav (Take a Chance on Love), Madison, Doviđenja (So long baby), Lađica (Lodka) EP Jugoton (1963.) Mrzim taj dan (Unchain my Heart), Ritam i želje, Jugoton (1963.)
