Bielizna were formed in 1984 as Bielizna Goeringa (Goering's Underwear) by two friends at Gdańsk Polytechnic - Jarosław Janiszewski and Jarosław Figura. Janiszewski - the singer and lyricist for the band - writes characteristically surreal lyrics (song titles include "Kołysanka dla narzeczonej tapicera" ("Lullaby for the Upholsterer's Fiancee") and "Stylowa żabka i chemiczne grubasy" ("The Stylish Frog and the Chemical Fatties") and has a very characteristic vocal style. Since their formation, the band have released 6 albums. The latest album "Obrazki Z Wystawki" ("Pictures At A Little Exhibition") was released in 2009. Current lineup consists of Jarek Janiszewski, Jarek Furman, Andrzej Jarmakowicz, Jarek Figura, Krzysztof Stachura and Robert Dobrucki.
