Between Broken Ashes formed in January 2005. The band is made up of 5 talented musicians from the city of Peterborough, UK each with an equal love for creating and playing music. They have been described as having a mixture of both post-hardcore and screamo influences. For the past few months Between Broken Ashes have been gigging around Peterborough in order to create a name for themselves within the local scene. With a sell out first gig at Peterborough’s Met Lounge, the band made firm impressions on the first time listeners which in turn caused a huge sale in demos. Over 80 cd’s were sold that night much to the surprise of the band. Even after a handful of gigs, Between Broken Ashes are becoming well known for their fuelled performances and are prone to the odd guitar swing. In October 2006, they decided to call it a day, with members of the line-up going off to Univeristy and following education. However, as soon as the clocks turned to January 2007, they reformed with a new memeber and worked on a completely new set, whilst keeping some loved classic. Despite this, only a few months later in July 2007, Between Broken Ashes would call it a day, for once and for all. However, in July of 2007, We Are Fiction were reborn for, well, the ashes of Between Broken Ashes. Featuring 4 of the original members of BBA, We Are Fiction look set to take off from the platform Between Broken Ashes had previously reached.
