1. Betty Boop was an animated cartoon character appearing in the Talkartoon and Betty Boop series of films produced by Max Fleischer and released by Paramount Pictures. With her overt sexuality, Betty was a hit with theater-goers, and despite having been toned down in the 1930s, she remains popular today for this portrayal of sexuality. 2. Betty Boop also are a Serbian pop rock girl band. The band was formed in 2005 in Zrenjanin, Serbia, consisting of Tara Krlić (vocals and guitar), Anja Prošić (drums), Nina Doroškov (bass guitar) and Kristina Krpogačin (vocals and guitar), under the guidance of their song author and manager Ognjen Cvekić. They have been contestants in many festivals, including Zrenjanin (2005), Herceg Novi (2006), Beovizija 2007 and Beovizija 2008. In Beovizija 2007 their song Sama finished in 8th place. They improved their ranking the following year when their single Kvar placed fourth in Beovizija 2008.
