There are two artists named Ben Thomas (and maybe more): 1). Ben Thomas born 1970, in Trachloin, South Wales is a controversial singer/songwriter. Growing up on the alcholol fueled streets of Neath and Swansea, Ben Thomas recieves his musical inspiriation from many real-life events. Beginnings with his solo Jazz career failed to inspire him, and he turned to the new 'Club' genre of music in 1986. His parents early death in 2001 sparked a change in the middle aged techno/rock superstar's musical genre. His early life was greatly involved with making money to fuel his drug addiction, yet he managed to turn his life around with the help of what would become one of his greatest friends, Lima O'Sullivan, whom he has dedicated his latest album to. In 1986 when disco was at it's peak, Ben Thomas broke into the big time with his vinyl 'The Question', a fan favourite among clubs in South Wales. In 1990 he released his sophomore album 'I Don't Care', a jazz-influenced album with emphasis on life on the streets of South Wales, and included many lyrics sung himself. The album failed to match up to the hype of his previous album, and he spent the next few years out of the public eye, improving his music. His 'Homeland' tour of 1998, coupled with his epic third album, 'Nevar 4get' made his fanbase widen to unbelievable proportions, attending 40 venues in the 40 day tour gained him the respect of countless welsh rockers and gave him the title of 'Savior of South Wales.'
