Ben Jammin' Beats, real name Benjamin Kath, is a lo-fi beats producer hailing from Minneapolis, Minnesota. He also releases music as Illuzionary pumpkin seeds, named after his dog Pumpkin. Benjamin was born and raised in a smaller town than the Twin Cities, where his passion for hip hop began to blossom during his high school years. Immersed in the sounds of Eminem, Dr. Dre, and Snoop Dogg, he found himself captivated by the beats, drops and transitions. Inspired by the unique and emotive sound of Minnesota's own Atmosphere, Benjamin embarked on his musical journey in 2009, delving into beat-making throughout his college years while gracing stages with live performances on weekends. Not content with solely producing beats, he embraced the role of an MC, incorporating his keyboard skills to keep crowds engaged with smooth transitions, breakdowns, and solo sections. Early on, Benjamin's enthusiasm for music led him to produce an EP about skateboarding and relationships with a friend, nurturing dreams of fame. Though fame proved elusive, his passion for music persisted. As he pursued a tech degree in St. Cloud, he continued experimenting with solo projects and performed in college talent shows, discovering a flair for charismatic and unpredictable stage presence.
