Ben Cosgrove is a composer, writer, and pianist from northern New England known for his instrumental music exploring feelings evoked by landscapes, geography, and sense of place. Describing himself as a "landscape enthusiast", Cosgrove has spent the last 10+ years ceaselessly traveling around the United States, playing concerts and doing artist residencies with organizations such as Acadia National Park, NASA, the Connecticut River Museum, the Sitka Center for Arts and Ecology, the Upper Mississippi National Wildlife and Fish Refuge, and the New England National Scenic Trail. His latest album, Topograph (2026), consists of sixteen songs about air and water moving land, and how all landscapes exist in constant states of change, both in time frames immediately observable as well as further in the long term.
