Confusing, yet subtly understood, the music of Ben Allan can be compared to a plethora of genres and artists. It's not necessarily understood as much as it is felt. Ben Allan's musical endeavors started when he was merely 17 and have only evolved ever since. Now, at 24, he delivers acoustically driven, home-written songs laced with creativity and a strong sense of sentimentality. For Ben, writing music is a constant learning experience, one that has endless boundaries to be explored. He looks to represent multiple genres through his music, never limiting himself to one specific sound. The finished product is an eclectic compilation of songs full of honest songwriting played on a mahogany D-15 acoustic guitar with a few other instrumental surprises thrown in.
