1. Beauty School Dropout is an American pop punk band based in Los Angeles, California. Formed in 2020, the band consists of lead vocalist Cole "Colie" Hutzler, bassist Brent "Beepus" Burdett, and producer/guitarist Bardo Novotny. Released through Version III, the BOYS DO CRY EP arrived in October 2021. It featured collaborations with and Butler and Royal & the Serpent. The band incorporated a live drummer for touring. blink-182's Mark Hoppus also proved to be an early mentor for Beauty School Dropout, developing the trio as part of the then-emerging label Verswire, a partnership between Hoppus, music manager Nick Lippman, and streaming platform Veeps founder Sherry Saeedi. Heavier guitar tones and an angstier attitude marked the still highly melodic We Made Plans & God Laughed, which was issued by Verswire in association with
