Making paintings come alive through the music they inspire... This has been the guiding thought of Beats on Canvas, a band which transposes visual mediums into musical soundscapes. Marc-Bernard Philippe, a Haitian born autodidact painter, has one day wanted to translate into images his experiences and ideologies evoked by his countless travels through different cultures and continents. Beats on Canvas, with an amalgam of classical music, world and electronic beats, has emerged within the painter's art work to offer a variety of textures which brings forth a journey into the imaginary.
