Bears & Dolls is a pop/alternative/indie band formed in Perth, WA, Australia in 2011. Bears and Dolls are a group of quirky music-forgers producing a special brand of Indie/Pop that will make your hips sway and your feet tap. Emerging from the live music scene with songs about kissing mirrors, secrets, madness, tea and the ugly tree, Bears and Dolls have already played an array of gigs and are rapidly making a name for themselves! According to the Sound Telegraph, “Bears and Dolls will put to excellent use all the goodies it won at last week's 2011 Rockingham Battle of the Bands grand final, says vocalist Brooke Wilkie... Wilkie said the indie/funk band was still on a high after taking out the contest, just four months after forming... "All the other bands playing that night were rock or heavy metal so we felt a little out of place actually...Being a little different must have worked to our advantage" Wilkie is joined by fellow Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts students Tyson Wilkie, Kimberley Heberley, Joe Powell, Hana Lee-Smith and Josh Ellis. The band experimented with some new sounds for its final gig, and Wilkie said the crowd responded well. "The audience was such a big help," she said. "I wasn't expecting that big a turn out, it was really cool."
