Bea Jumpup is a South African multi-media artist whose music takes influence from musicians such as SOPHIE, Devi McCallion, 100gecs, and underscores (plus more). Other influences in general include: Harrison and Parker, Fraxiom, Jack Stauber, Jonni Peppers, Flying Squid, TIM AND ERIC. Bea Jumpup has also released music under the name "Gabriel McGowan", and has previously gone by "GabeTYJ" on other social media platforms such as Youtube, Instagram, etc. Bea Jumpup first found popularity through her Youtube channel with her April Fools video "How Fanboy & Chum Chum Tackles Existentialism - A Video Essay" picking up in the Youtube algorithm and going viral with (as of writing this) 200K views. She has collaborated with musicians Devi McCallion (within her Girls Rituals project) and Flying Squid respectively by creating music videos for songs of theirs. She is also well-known for her short film "Jethro's Mirage". She has been recognised and interviewed by Tux Paint for her art created using their program.
