The struggle continues with Round Two, Bastid Sonz first full-length album, to be released September, 2006. Bastid Sonz are Dave Creces; vocals and guitar, Gerard Creces, bass and vocals; Steven Dawe; guitars and vocals and Perry Weido; drums and vocals. Their first EP, Time Out, has sold 1000 copies in its first year of print and has received airplay on campus radio stations coast to coast - charting in the top ten as far away as BC and Nova Scotia. The Bastids also received nominations for the London Music Awards as well as placed in the top 50 albums of 2005 from CHRW - London's university station. Strong songwriting chops and killer hooks are what give the Bastids their distinct sound; It's a punk-rock attitude with soulful melody and rhythmic execution. The group has teamed up with producer, Ryan 'Sully' Sullivan, to create an album that not only surpasses Time Out in sound and song quality, but also in context and complexity. The band has been touring Southwestern and Eastern Ontario and has plans for a more extensive road tour this fall.
