Bart Westerlaken (Born april 27 1977 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands) is a dutch film composer. After finishing The Dutch Filmacademy in 2001 as a director of photography his career shifted to filmmusic. In 2005 he scored the television series "Parels en Zwijnen" and in 2006 the feature "Olivier etc." directed by Sander Burger. Among his work for short movies are scores for "Dummy", "Mass", "Basta!" and "Babyphoned". For his music for the feature film "Panman, Rhythm of the Palms" he recieved the Award for Best Original Score at the International Brooklyn Filmfestival. Other feature films: "Bollywood Hero" (IDTV) and "Stella's War" (Waterland Film). "Tape" will hit the theaters february 2012. The television series "Penoza" starring Monic Hemdrikx, Fedja van Huet and Marcel Hensema is starting its second season late 2012. Currently working on feature film "Sehnsucht" followed by "Love Eternal" and "To Be King".
