Barney Bones is out to change the culture, and he knows that change comes first from within. Growing up in South Central Los Angeles, he was surrounded by a palpable culture of music from a young age, listening to everything from Snoop Dogg & Tha Dogg Pound to Depeche Mode at home, and living in the neighborhoods that catalyzed the careers of artists like Ice Cube and Nipsey Hussle; artists who reminded him of himself, artists who encouraged him to be fearless in his creativity. Beginning 2023 with this release and its underlying intention, will certainly see a lot of change for the nascent artist this year, and it’s only a matter of time before the culture follows.
