Barney & Friends were a controversial 3-piece band fronted by Barney the Dinosaur who achieved moderate success in the 1990s with songs such as 'I Love You' and 'Colors Make Me Happy'. However the band's career was ultimately short-lived and they split up amid claims of ulterior motives and hidden meanings in Barney's lyrics, claims which were later proved inaccurate. After parting with the friends, Barney has achieved considerable worldwide fame both as an entertainer and solo artist.
