Somewhere the gods of psych are smiling. Gazing down on this Northeastern all-star unit, just feeling the music. Bark Haze is comprised of Andrew Macgregor (aka Gown), Thurston Moore (of Sonic Youth), and on this recording Pete Nolan (of Magik Markers). Gown and Moore’s dual guitars and in constant conversation. There must be a psychic barrier between these dudes minds, nothing sounds forced, only ever flowing. Nolan keeps the time with militant precision acting as the foil for guitar development. A thirty-minute track recorded around the same time as All Tomorrow’s Parties last winter stretched across two sides of the tape. Infinite psyched out oblivion like a more sober Lambsbread.
