Artist
Barbara Russell (Black Lick, Pennsylvania, USA., June 16, 1933 - August 25, 2018) was an American actress and jazz singer. Captivating singer Barbara Russell’s jazz-influenced style ran the gamut from warm, intimate ballads to swinging up-tempo tunes. She was signed to United Artists and made two albums between 1960 and 1962 – “Swing with Me” with arrangements by Don Costa and “Golden Blues”, arranged by Nick Perito. On both these dates the orchestrations became a velvet cushion for Russell’s jewelled tones. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
